Adopt a Dog
We’re so happy you’re considering adopting one of our dogs! Whether you’re in Turkey, the UK, or elsewhere, we’ll help guide you every step of the way.
🇹🇷 Turkish Residents
Once you’ve visited the shelter and met the dog you want to adopt we’ll carry out a vetting process to make sure it’s a good fit - our dogs wellbeing is top priority.
Once approved you can collect your dog and take them to their new home!
All our dogs are fully vaccinated and neutered before adoption but if taking a puppy they must be neutered as soon as they are old enough.
🇬🇧 UK Residents
Adopting a dog from Turkey to bring to the UK involves a few extra steps, but we’re here to support you every step of the way:
Vaccinations & Neutering: All of our dogs are fully vaccinated and neutered when they first come to the shelter. If you have chosen a dog that has newly arrived this will need to be done before starting the transportation process. The cost of this is fully covered by Dalyan Dogs.
Rabies Booster: Your chosen dog will receive a rabies booster. The cost of this is currently around £20.
Titre Test: Two weeks later, a blood test (titre test) is done to confirm the vaccine has worked. You can expect to pay approximately £200 for this.
Waiting Period: Assuming the tests results are all within an acceptable range, your dog can then legally travel 91 days after the date of the titre test.
Travel Arranegements: Once the date of travel is confirmed your dog is then given a final worm and flee treatment at the vets, and an exit certificate is obtained from the local council. If you’re using a transportation company they will arrange this. Transport company costs vary, from Dalyan to the UK prices tend to start around £1,200. If you are planning to collect your dog to transport yourself this will need to be booked ahead of time, we can help you to obtain the relevant paperwork to ensure a smooth journey back.
Any of our dogs with a ‘Ready to Travel’ tag have already been through steps 1-4 and are ready and waiting for their new home! The cost of all medical preparation has been covered by Dalyan Dogs however transportation costs are the adopter’s responsibility.
Dogs looking for homes..
We currently have over 80 dogs at Dalyan Dogs, so we can’t show them all here - but this is a selection of those currently available for adoption.
Not every dog in our care is suitable for rehoming, often due to age, health, or temperament. But all the dogs shown below are ready and waiting for a loving home.
🐾 Dogs marked ‘Ready for Travel’ have completed all their medical preparations, including vaccines, rabies/titre testing, and are simply waiting for transport and a home to call their own.

Nova
8 Year Old | Female | Ready to Travel
Nova is a sweet, excitable girl who’s ready to find a home of her own. She’s a free runner here at the shelter with great recall.
She can get a little over excited at mealtimes (her happy zoomies are part of the charm!) but once her belly’s full, she’s more than happy to settle down for a cuddle.
She’s wonderful with other dogs but would also be very content as the only dog in the home.
Nova may be 7, but she’s full of life and affection - all she needs now is someone to share it with.
-
Holly
8 Year Old | Female | Ready to Travel
Holly is a soft-hearted friendly sweetheart who’s always looking for a snuggle. She’s may be a little shy at first, but her affectionate nature shines through once she feels safe.
She’s happiest on a lead as her recall isn’t the strongest, and she can get a little nervous around new people and may try and hide - give her time and patience and she’ll blossom.
Holly may be a little more reserved than some of our other dogs, but we believe she’ll come out of her shell in a calm, loving home with someone willing to give her the care she needs.
-
Bonnie
8 Year Old | Female | Ready to Travel
Bonnie is a quiet, sensitive soul who’s looking for a very special kind of home - one filled with patience, gentleness, and one-on-one care.
She’s extremely shy at first and needs time to build trust, but once she knows you her affectionate nature side starts to shine.
Bonnie isn’t a fan of walk (unless there’s a treat involved!) as new situations make her nervous. She needs someone who will let her take things at her own pace without pressure or expectation.
With the right person Bonnie has so much love to give - she’s just waiting for someone who sees past her fears to her potential.

Sasha
2 Year Old | Female | Ready to Travel from October 2025*
Sasha is a loving and caring young dog with a big heart and a love of the outdoors. She thrives on walks, is great on a lead, and would be happiest in a home with a secure garden where she can sniff and explore.
She’s sweet and caring with people - always ready for a cuddle or some company - and is friendly with male dogs. However she can get tetchy around other females, so we recommend she goes to a home without other female dogs .
At just 2.5 years old, Sasha still has a playful spirit and lots of love to give. Whoever adopts Sasha will be getting a very special dog.
* One of our generous volunteers has subsidised Sasha’s transportation costs to the UK reducing this to £300.

Frankie
1 Year Old | Female
Frankie is a bouncy, happy pup looking for love. She’s full of affection and everything you would expect from a pup - playful, curious and up for adventure.
She loves walks and exploring. At the moment Frankie does not have reliable recall so she will need to stay on a lead for walks for now. With a bit of training we are confident she will get the hang of it in no time.
If you are looking for a fun loving companion who’ll keep you on your toes and shower you with affection, Frankie might be your perfect match.

Star
1.5 Year Old | Female
Star is a 2-year-old bundle of joy with a gentle heart and a playful spirit. This gorgeous little girl is full of fun and affection, making her the perfect companion for a loving family.
She adores cuddles and will happily curl up in your arms, drifting off to sleep while being gently soothed. Star has a calm, affectionate nature that makes her easy to love and even easier to spoil!
She’s great on a harness and has recently been enjoying some off-lead time running freely with her mum, Gypsy. Despite her lively playfulness, Star is small in size—making her easy to transport and ideal for adventures big or small.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will fill your home with happiness and heart, Star is ready to meet you.
